Introduction
Often known as the Ayodhya of Odisha, Ram Temple in Fatehgarh is a beautiful and stunning spiritual destination. It is located on a scenic hill near Nayagarh’s Fatehgarh village. The temple sits around 40 KM from Nayagarh Town and from Bhubaneswar, it will be around 65 KM. The main sanctum of the temple houses idol of Mata Sita, Lord Rama and his brother Lakhsman. The temple also has shrines dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Hanuman, Giri Govardhan and more.
Learning About the Construction and History
As per the information, the construction process of this temple started in 2017 and around 150 workers were involved in this. Built at a cost of more than 10 crore, the construction project was lovingly funded by local villagers from Fatehgarh and Bhapur along with the Shri Ram Seva Parishad. The structure is built from Baulamala Stone. Speaking more about this temple, the length is around 65 feet, accompanied by a 25-foot Mohan and a 35-foot Bhadra.
A major milestone in the temple's history took place on 22nd January 2024, when the grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony was organized aligning with the historic consecration day in Ayodhya. This temple now stands as a crucial landmark of architecture, fate as well as culture in Odisha.
