This magnificent wildlife sanctuary of Odisha is found in Angul district and sees thousands of tourists every year. The mighty Mahanadi river passes through the forest, which was set up in 1976. The forest is spread over 759 km² and the Tiger Reserve is spread over four districts namely Angul, Cuttack, Boudh and Nayagarh.
The name Satkosia stands for seven miles and the reserve was formed out of two sanctuaries, the Baisipalli Sanctuary and the Satkosia Gorge Sanctuary. This tour package covers breakfast in Dhenkanal, jungle safaris to the Kandhera, Baghmunda and Hatigirja ranges, a jungle walk in Nandini Nalla zone, a visit to beautiful Bhimdhara waterfall and more.
